Shaping a sustainable future for Europe

Europe hosts important biodiversity and natural resources yet they are declining at an unprecedented rate driven by unsustainable human activities which in turn impacts the vital services that nature provides to our society. EURO remains a central point to address these challenges through EU policy, regulation and conservation action at national and local level

The IUCN European Regional Office maintains close relationship with its Members, EU institutions such as the European Commission and the European Parliament, and other key partners in Europe to advance the EU Green Deal and the EU Biodiversity Strategy 2030 and support its implementation. By bringing IUCN's knowledge base and expertise we are working to ensure we preserve and restore nature in Europe.
