The European office coordinates the IUCN European Red List initiative and the Green List for the Natura 2000 network in Europe. Additionally, the office provides technical and scientific knowledge to the European Commission to support the implementation of several regional environmental policies and initiatives.
European Nature-based Solutions
The European office works closely with EU institutions, EU member states and other key stakeholders to ensure that the concept of nature-based solutions is well-known, accepted, and reflected in policies across different sectors and levels of government.
