Collaboration is essential for conservation to succeed with maximum benefit for people and planet. IUCN focuses on getting diverse perspectives and expertise into the same room with decision makers and those impacted by their decisions to ensure the decisions and actions taken work for nature and the people who depend on it. Our largest events are the quadrennial IUCN World Conservation Congress and the annual IUCN Leaders Forum. IUCN also participates in and organises numerous other local, national, regional and international events.

IUCN World Conservation Congress
Held once every four years, the IUCN World Conservation Congress brings together several thousand leaders and decision-makers from around the world with the goal of conserving the environment and harnessing the solutions nature offers to global challenges
The IUCN Leaders Forum convenes global leaders annually on key topics of relevance to the international agenda.
