Knowing her for more than decades, from my childhood until my professional time, made me realize that Dr. Kathy MacKinnon is a true inspiration - a role model. I still remember the first encounter at her house in Bogor, Indonesia when she worked together with my father on forest and species conservation. Years later, we met again and talked about MPA, OECM, and Green List. This is such really sad and unexpected news.
