The Restoration Initiative (TRI) Newsletter - August 2023 to May 2024

The second edition of the 2023/2024 TRI newsletter has been published.

We made significant progress and rounded up 2023 with an amazing impact. We have also kickstarted  2024 with improved indices and benchmarks for Forest Landscape Restoration in countries of implementation.

We would not have made all our progress without the collective efforts of everyone involved, government partners and implementers, who work tirelessly to improve the lives of project beneficiaries and support governments.

The Restoration Initiative (TRI) unites 10 countries and three Global Environment Facility agencies – the International Union for Conservation of Nature, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP).

TRI works with governments and strategic partners to overcome existing barriers to restore degraded landscapes for people and nature as a contribution to the Bonn Challenge and the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration 2020 - 2030.

We welcome you to explore more exciting news about The Restoration Initiative in this edition.
