Landvernd, landgraedslu- og umhverfisverndarsamtök Íslands

Landvernd was founded in 1969 and is Iceland´s oldest environmental NGO. From the outset, the focus has been on the conservation of Iceland´s pristine natural environment and restoration of degraded ecosystems. The association is active in environmental education and seeks to be an active participant in policy formulation and informed decision making in matters relating to nature conservation and the responsible use of natural resources.
