Reserva: The Youth Land Trust

Reserva: The Youth Land Trust is a unique, globally connected nonprofit working to create and support protected areas in biodiversity hotspots through youth action. We launched in 2019 after considering how the incredibly impactful models of funders like Rainforest Trust and World Land Trust could be redesigned to engage youth in the process—both to empower young people and to cultivate a new generation of conservation leaders. Our diverse Youth Council of 125 members from 32 countries is involved in identifying strong partners, co-designing protected areas, raising project funds, conducting scientific research, creating storytelling assets, and advocating for nature in policy spaces.
