Martha Rojas-Urrego has been appointed as new Secretary General for RAMSAR
CEESP would like to congratulate Martha Rojas-Urrego, CEESP Regional Vice-Chair for Europe for her appointment as the Secretary General of the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands. Martha Rojas-Urrego brings to the Ramsar Convention a wealth of experience gained over a long and distinguished career in senior levels of national government, international governmental organisations, and non-governmental organisations.

Her commitment to conservation and sustainable development has been a running theme in her career, from her work as Executive Director of the National Parks Service in her native Colombia to her more recent roles in international policy.
