WESSA is one of South Africa`s oldest and largest non-government membership based environmental organisation. It maintains a watchful eye over the South African environment through an extensive network of Regional Offices, branches, friends groups and environmental clubs.Professional environmental staff are employed to work directly with the public, local, provincial and national government as well as with other environmental organisations to press for effective environmental planning and legislation to improve the protection of the environment.
