SAHWM is a non-profit making organization and is Sweden's oldest conservation body. SAHWM has a public commission from the Government to monitor game, as well as give advice to authorities, educate hunters and inform the public on game management and hunting. Furthermore, SAHWN funds independent research and employs scientists.
