The Nederlandse Vereniging van Dierentuinen (The Dutch Zoo Association) is a Dutch organisation of 15 memberzoos all over the country. The DZA facilitates the members on subjects of general interest and keeps in touch with the Dutch Governement on Zoo issues.
The DZA has several codes on important issues concerning animals in zoos like an ethical code and a screening system to keep the memberzoos in the best condition, the animals in optimal wellbeing and their enclosures in optimal shape.
