Bat Conservation International, Inc

Bat Conservation International (BCI) was founded in 1982 as scientists around the world became concerned that bats, essential to the balance of nature and human economies, were in alarming decline. In our 30 year history, BCI has built considerable experience addressing conservation through national and international partnerships. Our methods include on-the-ground conservation projects, targeted education to decision makers and the general public, and promotion of research into priority bat-related topics. BCI is supported by more than 9,000 members. BCI’s conservation efforts span six continents, with primary concentration in North America, Southeast Asia, Latin America, and Africa.
