Environmental Law Program at the William S. Richardson School of Law

The Environmental Law Program (ELP) at the William S. Richardson School of Law was established in 1988 in recognition of the special challenges the State of Hawaii faces in developing an environmentally sustainable economy in a unique island environment. The ELP trains students to become future attorneys, policy makers and scholars in the field of environmental law locally, nationally and internationally. The ELP is nationally recognized and has over 160 graduates with certificates in environmental law who are contributing to environmental law and policy in Hawaii and throughout the world.
