Leo Foundation

The Leo Foundation follows the policy guidelines and conservation and management strategies as outlined in the regional Lion Conservation Strategies for West & Central and for East & Southern Africa, published in 2007. Within the framework of these guidelines, the Leo Foundation has adopted the following projects during the four year Master plan. All projects are currently under implementation: a. The Regional Lion Conservation Network in West and Central Africa (ROCAL) and the Regional Carnviore Initiatitive for W and C Africa b. The Amboseli NP and Nairobi NP Lion Project, Kenya c. The North Cameroon-North Nigeria Lion Conservation Project d. The Pendjari Lion Project, Benin e. Other large carnivore projects
