The Institute of Botany after A. Takhtajyan NAS RA State-Non-Commercial Organization (SNCO) was founded in 1938, together with the Yerevan, Sevan and Vanadzor Botanical Garden (divisions of the Institute), is one of the leading scientific research institution in Armenia that is purposefully engaged in the study of biodiversity and conservation action throughout Armenia. For more than 80 years, the Institute and its staff have also been engaged in preparation of CBD’s national country reports, forestry and protected areas management plans, number of research and conservation project, etc.
