Municipio de La Estrella

(EN) The Municipality of La Estrella is a Colombian sub-national government entity with a total surface area of approximately 3,532 hectares, 54% of which are under conservation status. The extensive environmental heritage of the municipality means that one of its main objectives is to develop policies, programmes and projects that direct the socio-environmental development of the municipality, focusing on the conservation of the territory’s natural heritage, on the recognition of its biodiversity, the sustainable use of its natural resources and the identification and conservation of areas of municipal and regional environmental importance.
