Hamilton City Council

Hamilton City Council is the territorial authority for the New Zealand city of Hamilton (Kirikiriroa). The scope of powers is specified by the Local Government Act 2002. As the governing body, the council is responsible to take an active role in ensuring that we promote the social, economic, environmental and cultural wellbeing of our community through the services and activities we provide. This includes infrastructure services such as roads, water reticulation, sewerage and refuse collection, community facilities and public spaces, local regulations, community and economic development, and town planning.
