Suncheon City

Located in the eastern part of South Jeolla Province in South Korea, Suncheon was promoted to city status on Aug 15, 1949. Aiming to become a sustainable city based on its ecosystem and environment, Suncheon has established itself as a global-scale ecological city through efforts featuring the Suncheonman National Garden and Suncheonman Wetland. Alongside the city’s residents, Suncheon city’s approximately 2,300 employees, including those from the City Hall, City Council, affiliated organisations and business offices are working in earnest to achieve sustainable development.
