Contribution à la Gestion des Zones Humides

(EN) Created by Decree No. 035/MI/AT/DAPJ/SA of 10 February 2000, the NGO Contribution to Wetland Management (Contribution à la Gestion des Zones Humides, COGEZOH) is a Nigerien organisation that works extensively to conserve biodiversity and preserve wetlands. Over the past 20 years, this NGO has successfully initiated and implemented dozens of projects and micro-projects in certain protected areas, RAMSAR sites and other conservation areas in Niger. These projects are mainly focused on conservation, ecosystem management and local development. Its strategy is based on the empowerment of local populations.
