Action pour la Protection de l‟Environnement et la Promotion des Filières Agricoles « APEFA » is a National Non-Government Organisation founded by people concerned with environment degradation in Rwanda and food security; APEFA was granted legal by Ministerial Order No. 99/11 of 31 July 2008 published in the Official Journal No. 38 of 22 September 2014. Areas of intervention and target groups APEFA works in the following areas of intervention: - Soil conservation and landscape restoration; - Integrated water management - Sustainable agriculture; - Climate change adaptation &mitigation - Biodiversity conservation in and around protected areas; APEFA works with local communities on the grassroots; The targeted groups are: Communities gathered in youth and women and youth associations youth (including schools) ,
