Biodiversity Committee, Chinese Academy of Sciences

Biodiversity Committee, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), a non-profit academic organization established on March 4th, 1992, is subordinate to Chinese Academy of Sciences. The 5th Biodiversity Committee, CAS was elected in 2011, and the Members are existing scientists or administrators actively involved in biodiversity. The Committee is committed to improving the biodiversity research in CAS and China, and to strengthen international cooperation in this area. Currently, Biodiversity informatics and biodiversity monitoring are the two main projects carried out by the Committee.
