Cornell Botanic Gardens
Cornell Botanic Gardens is the gardens (12.5 ha), arboretum (42 ha), and natural areas (1500 ha) of Cornell University (Ithaca, NY, USA). The Botanic Gardens is actively engaged in (a) management of natural areas, including control and management of invasive plants, (b) rare plant conservation, (c) bio cultural conservation and diversity, and (d) interpretation, via public and academic programmes, of contemporary environmental challenges that affect the integrity of biological and cultural systems. Cornell Plantations is also engaged with other NGOs (e.g., Terralingua) whose work relates to conservation of bio cultural diversity.
