The German Ocean Foundation creates synergies between knowledge and action by involving science, business, politics and society. The aim is to create a lasting partnership with the ocean through broad “ocean awareness”: among political decision-makers, opinion leaders, in the economy, among the population and above all among young people, in order to overcome the current lack of responsibility. We give the ocean a voice because it is irreplaceable for our survival and well-being and it has no other lobby. The ocean is our passion and we love to make the connections between the ocean and us humans visible and tangible.
