Earth Law Center (ELC) is a team of legal professional working together to advance the Rights of Nature and other Earth-centered legal movements worldwide. Since 2008, our NGO has challenged the perception of Nature as mere human property. Instead, we take an ecocentric approach that recognizes Nature’s intrinsic value and its inherent rights to exist, thrive, and evolve. We advocate for and inform the Rights of Nature and parallel movements, including nonhuman rights for animals, rights for future generations, defining ecocide as a crime, and Indigenous rights.
