Forest Resource Environment Development and Conservation Association

FREDA is a non-profit, non-political adn non-government organization is the forestry secotr of Myanmar. Its strength is experience, dedication adn dynamis,. Founded in 1996, FREDA is currently composed of around 500 members, comprising foresters, botanists, agronomists, zoologists, hydro-geologists, engineers, timber businessmen, journalists, artists etc. Membership is open to any citizen of Myanmar over the age of 18, except those in active government service. The 15 members of the Central Committee selected among the FREDA members adn appeared at the General Assembling and 7 Executive Committee members selected by the Central Committee managed the Association.
