Hashemite Fund for Development of Jordan Badia

The Hashemite Fund for the Development of Jordan Badia was established in 2003. The Fund's law was issued then, and the Fund began operations in mid 2006. The Fund serves the Jordanian Badia and all its regions: North, Middle and South. The Fund seeks principally to improve the socio-economic conditions in the Jordan Badia. It does this by contributing to poverty alleviation and unemployment reduction, employing the skills of the Badia’s people and building their capacities through a variety of development projects, and supporting various scientific, cultural, social, sports and capacity building activities.
