The purpose of this unit is to investigate the diversity of medicinal resources, to carry out scientific research on the protection, development, rational utilization and sustainable use of key medicinal resources, and to provide consulting services on information and technology.The organisation is to promote the development of the Chinese herbal medicine industry in the central and western regions of the country; focusing on the vast number of pharmaceutical farmers, to highlight social services, to enhance the information level of the protection on traditional Chinese medicine resources, the cultivation, circulation and application of Chinese medicinal materials, and to achieve the dynamic monitoring and information service for the Chinese medicinal materials resources of the countries in the region.
