International Association for Impact Assessment

The International Association for Impact Assessment (IAIA) is the leading global network on best practice in the use of impact assessment for informed decision making regarding policies, project, programs, and plans. Through our conferences and symposia IAIA brings together researchers, practitioners, and users of various types of impact assessment from around the world. IAIA provides opportunities for interchange among its members to advance the practice and theory of impact assessment. IAIA’s diverse membership includes experts from private corporations, governments, academia, civil society organizations, consultancies, and international financial institutions. Currently IAIA members number more than 1800 and represent 120 countries.
