Oceano Azul Foundation

The Oceano Azul Foundation is a private, non-profit organization founded by Sociedade Francisco Manuel dos Santos, SGPS, S.E. The Foundation is dedicated to the conservation of the ocean, thought a science-based apporach. It operates independently from any political, partisan, economic, religious, or sporting organizations and interests. The Foundation's main areas of action include ocean conservation, international advocacy, and promoting the concept of blue natural capital. The Foundation is headquartered in Lisbon, Portugal and collaborates with various stakeholders, including governments, IGOs, NGOs, universities and communities to promote greater ambition towards ocean protection.
