Office of Hawaiian Affairs

The Office of Hawaiian Affairs (aHA) is a semi-autonomous state agency created by the people of Hawai'i in 1978 to better the conditions of Native Hawaiian people. Under the direction of nine trustees elected statewide, OHA functions as a government agency Vllith a degree of autonomy, and as a trust. OHA serves as an advocate, thought leader and asset manager to create systemic change and better the conditions of Native Hawaiian people at the state, national and international level to raise a beloved nation.
