Office national des forêts

[EN] The National Forestry Office (ONF) is a French institution serving the State and local authorities. Under the supervision of the Ministry for Ecological Transition, Biodiversity, Forestry, the Sea and Fisheries, ONF is a public industrial and commercial establishment (EPIC), whose statutes are defined in the Forestry Code. In mainland France and its overseas territories, ONF's 8,000 employees manage nearly 11 million hectares of public forests belonging to the State (direct management) and to local authorities (management assistance).
