Established in 1992 as a development net work of small scale fisher folk organizations in Sri Lanka. Its an approved charity and an NGO and registered as a company. The federation operates in a modest way to provide awareness, knowledge, skills and commitmrent where necessery for social transformation geared toward sustainable social, economical and ecological development.
