Tanah Air Beta
Tanah Air Beta was established in 2016 by a group of action-researchers and conservation & development practitioners
interested in addressing conservation and development challenges at the landscape scale. We understand landscapes are
complex social-ecological systems and they require holistic, problem focused, collaborative efforts to address their
challenges of delivering sustainable societal benefits. TAB conducts research for conservation activities & facilitate
multistakeholder platform in landscape-seascape across Indonesia - with emphasis on eastern Indonesia. We work with
local & indigenous communities. We support community efforts to conserve nature in various categories of protected areas.
We have worked in and around national parks and other protected areas, in "Other Effective Conservation
Management"(OECM) initiatives and recently in Critical Ecosystem Territories (Kawasan Ekosystem Esensial - KEE). We
are interested in productive landscapes and we work directly with local management authorities. We produce policy
documents, we represent conservation interests in various decision making forum in landscapes and we publish scholarly
papers on conservation issues.
