Conservation Action

With approximately 25% of Mediterranean known species threatened, and many other species already extinct in the region, the design and implementation of science-based strategies for species conservation and the continuous monitoring of biodiversity in the Mediterranean region have become essential.

The Mediterranean Species Programme work includes the following factors to ensure that biodiversity is well managed in their practices:

Conservation Action involves two main lines of work:
