IUCN ROWA 09th Regional Conservation Forum (RCF)

The IUCN, International Union for Conservation of Nature - Regional Office for West Asia (ROWA) and the Environment Public Authority in Kuwait were organized the IUCN ROWA 09^th  Regional Conservation Forum (RCF),  which took place in Kuwait from 9^th  to 11^th  of  September 2019. The State of Kuwait was graciously co-hosted the Forum through the Environment Public Authority and Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Science (KFAS).

The RCF aims at providing a platform for IUCN Members (governments, NGOs, indigenous peoples’ organizations) to engage with each other to discuss and debate key conservation issues as well as an opportunity to prepare for an effective programme planning and discuss membership issues.  In addition, the RCF contributes to strengthening knowledge and networking for biodiversity conservation in the region.

The forum  gave an opportunity for IUCN members and partners, as well as the wider conservation community to prepare for its effective regional participation in the next IUCN Congress 2020, which will be held from 11 to 19 June 2020 in France, Marseille at Parc Chanot.
