The IUCN World Conservation Congress 2025 was held from 9–15 October in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, bringing together leaders, experts, and practitioners from around the world to set global conservation priorities and advance sustainable development action.
Organized every four years, the Congress serves as IUCN’s premier platform where its 1,400+ government, civil society, and Indigenous Peoples’ Member organizations unite to shape decisions that guide humanity’s relationship with nature.
The event also provides the world’s largest marketplace for conservation and sustainable development science, policy, and innovation, enabling knowledge exchange among scientists, policymakers, business leaders, and practitioners.
