Enabling a post-2020 Global Biodiversity Framework fit for purpose: perspectives and reflections for the 15th Conference of the Parties

This paper shares a perspective on what we consider as key considerations and main requirements to bear in mind to conclude a GBF designed to be ‘fit for purpose’. In other words, an effective, practical and implementable framework, concise and easy to communicate and capable of galvanizing backing and buy-in by various sectors of society and diverse groups of stakeholders, in order to achieve meaningful progress by 2030 and ultimately realize the 2050 vision of ‘living in harmony with nature’.
