The symposium will be structured to enhance international and intercultural communication and will facilitate one-toone dialogue. Presentations on Science and Management relevant to wilderness stewardship – papers grounded in data or theory, field experience and/or case studies of policy approaches and ideas – are particularly encouraged.

Topics discussed in the 11th World Wilderness Congress will explore two broad questions at the heart of international decision-making and planning around wilderness: how much wild nature do we need to survive and how do we achieve it?
