The WILD Foundation

Founded in 1974, WILD is dedicated to wilderness protection around the world. WILD protects the planet’s wild places and the wildlife and people who depend upon them, because wilderness areas provide essential social, spiritual, biological and economic benefits. Our main program areas are: Communications and Media, Policy and Research, on-the-ground Field Projects and (at the center of our work) The World Wilderness Congress, since 1977 the world's longest-running public environmental project.
