Forest Peoples Programme

Forest Peoples Programme exists to support the response of forest peoples to the global forest crisis. It aims to secure the rights of peoples, who live in the forests and depend on them for their livelihoods, to control their lands and destinies. The organisation seeks to create political space for forest peoples to exercise their right to self-determination and to practise sustainable forest management.
