The Welsh Government is the devolved government for Wales and is responsible for proposing and implementing policy and laws which would apply in Wales and which aim to improve the lives of everyone in Wales. The Government of Wales Act sets out the powers and areas of competence of the Welsh Government: http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2006/32/contents The Department for Natural Resources sits within the Welsh Government and is led by the Minister for Natural Resources. The Minister's responsibilities include (but are not limited to): - Sustainable Development Including the Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act, - Management of our natural Resources including the Environment (Wales) Act - Climate change mitigation and adaptation including land drainage; flood prevention; coastal protection; and control of marine and air pollution (except vehicle emissions) - Resource and waste management - Flood prevention and coastal protection - small-medium scale energy production, domestic energy, energy efficiency and the reduction of fuel poverty - All activities of Natural Resources Wales -
