Non-Timber Forest Products - Exchange Programme Asia
The Non-Timber Forest Products - Exchange Programme (NTFP-EP Asia) is a collaborative network of over 100 non- governmental organizations (NGOs) and community-based organizations working with forest-dependent communities to strengthen their capacity in sustainable management of natural resources. Working primarily in the Philippines, Malaysia, India, Indonesia, Cambodia and Vietnam, it employs about 60 full time and part time staff. Its programmes include community-based conservation, indigenous food and health, security of tenure and governance, and sustainable NTFP enterprises. It creates platforms for sharing of experiences and pooling of expertise. At the core of its work is respect for the integrity of cultural traditions.
