Wild Sheep Foundation

Established in 1977, the Wild Sheep Foundation (WSF) is a science-based, non-profit conservation organization with 6,848 global members and 53 Chapter/Affiliate organizations. WSF restores, conserves and enhances native species (particularly Caprinae), their habitat and connectivity, worldwide. WSF builds partnerships, raises and directs funding, and has driven restoration of bighorn sheep in North America from approximately 25,000 in the 1950s to over 85,000 today. Partnerships and collaborative conservation efforts with governments, indigenous peoples, private landowners, hunting and non-hunting NGOs, and local communities define WSF’s conservation success. WSF’s transparent governance engages women and indigenous peoples, and leads youth education initiatives.
