BIOSFERA

In response of the degradation of natural resources, Biosfera has been committed since 2006 to the protection of cabo Verdean coastal and marine biodiversity. Without respite for almost 15 years, Biosfera has gradually developed and strengthened. It is committed to protecting, alerting and denouncing bad practices that jeopardize the preservation of threatened and/or endemic species and the protection of vulnerable habitats. It acts through monitoring and conservation interventions, mainly on the deserted and protected islands of Santa Luzia, Raso and Branco. Biosfera also mobilizes the Cape Verdean population to play a proactive role in the protection of its natural heritage.
