Mangrove Action Project

Mangrove Action Project (MAP) is a small, education-focused US-registered 501c(3) non-profit. We work in partnership with all mangrove-interested parties from individuals and community groups to academics, governments, international NGO networks and supranational organisations. MAP has two training products: a best practice ‘Community-Based Ecological Mangrove Restoration’ restoration process which greatly improves mangrove projects’ outcomes, and a ‘Marvellous Mangroves’ schools education curriculum that makes younger generations aware of the value and benefits of conserving their mangroves. Additionally, we campaign for mangrove conservation; develop sustainable livelihoods for mangrove communities; network groups, experts and funders together and run various outreach programs.
