The Commission Support Unit supports and adds value to the work of the Commissions by:

• Managing the membership application and admission processes of each commission via the IUCN Commissions Membership System.
• Processing the Commissions Operating Funds (COF) for each Commission which includes processing purchase orders, payments, contracts, and consultancies according to the Commission Financial Rules.
• Supporting the Commissions’ Communication efforts by issuing Commission newsletters and presenting/ keeping up to date the work of the Commissions on the IUCN website.
• Facilitating knowledge exchange between Commissions.
