Supporting the implementation of an integrated ecosystem management approach for landscape restoration and biodiversity conservation in the United Republic of Tanzania

TRI’s project in the United Republic of Tanzania is designed to strengthen integrated natural resource management and restoration of degraded landscapes for resilient socioecological systems in the United Republic of Tanzania.

More specifically, the project will: (1) enhance the national enabling environment, country capacity and the commitment of stakeholders to sustainable landscape restoration efforts; (2) improve landscape management through the implementation of restoration plans and integrated landscape management practices in selected wards and districts in the Great Ruaha, Lake Rukwa and the Malagarasi basins; and (3) develop and share knowledge, disseminate good practices and put in place appropriate monitoring and evaluation systems and financing arrangements to support the adaptive management of FLR interventions and strategies.
