Other International Processes

Acknowledging that climate change affects all areas of international law, the Specialist Group engages with international legal processes beyond the UNFCCC COP. One area in which the Specialist Group has been extremely active has been IUCN’s participation in the ICJ climate change related Advisory Opinion proceedings. The Specialist Group is also leading on a WCEL wide initiative aiming at feeding to the wider IUCN information about the three Advisory Opinions in an accessible way.
