Climate Litigation Cluster
The Climate Litigation Cluster, part of the IUCN-WCEL Climate Change Law Specialist Group, serves as a global platform for disseminating knowledge and advancing innovative legal strategies in climate litigation. Co-led by experts, it fosters interdisciplinary collaboration to tackle complex challenges, including corporate accountability, human rights, and attribution science. By engaging judges, policymakers, legal practitioners, academics, researchers, NGOs, civil servants, and in-house counsel, the cluster enhances capacity and understanding to drive effective climate governance. Through examining emerging trends and sharing insights across domestic and international jurisdictions, it supports cutting-edge legal approaches to combat climate change and promote sustainable development worldwide.
