Inclusive Energy Transformation (IET) cluster
The Inclusive Energy Transformation (IET) cluster examines the complex regulatory and policy frameworks driving the global transformation toward sustainable energy systems. We analyze international, national, and local climate, environmental, and energy laws exploring innovative legal instruments that facilitate green technology adoption. The cluster will evaluate associated legal risks and barriers to the energy transformation, with a particular focus on equity and inclusivity. By examining regulatory mechanisms and policy instruments, we identify actionable pathways and solutions at the critical intersection of global climate goals and justice principles. Through research and collaboration, our cluster aims to contribute to the development of robust legal frameworks that promote a fair and sustainable energy transition – ensuring the benefits of decarbonisation are equitably shared with communities.
